Memorial Garden and Beautification Project
Underway for Hospital
The Beaver County Memorial Hospital will
celebrate its 50th Anniversary in October of this year. In honor
of this special occasion, staff at the hospital, nursing home,
and both clinics have formed different committees,
subcommittees, etc., to work on "beautification" of the
facility, along with numerous other projects. We will be kicking
off our project with some much needed painting and planting on
the outside while the weather is cooperative, then we’ll move
our efforts indoors for more painting.
We would like to make the garden areas, a
"Memorial Garden," and we are asking for your help and support.
If you would like to donate a perennial plant, shrub, or a tree
in honor of a loved one, or just assist us with the project,
please bring by the hospital or the Turpin Clinic by Saturday,
June 21, when planting will begin. We will also be needing
larger sized flower pots for planting and placement near entry
ways.
The Gardens on Douglas, has offered a
very generous 35% discount for your purchases that are
made for the purpose of the project. Your purchase may be left
at The Gardens where it will be picked up by June 21 for
planting. Please be sure that you have filled out the form
denoting who purchased the plant, shrub, tree or pot, and in
whose memory it was donated. There will be a special "thank you"
in the newspaper to all who participated and to recognize your
tribute to your loved one(s).
If you are unable to get your plant, etc., to the hospital by
Saturday, June 21, or you have questions or need assistance,
please contact Cyndy Montoya or Alissa Schlessman at Beaver
County Memorial Hospital, 580-625-4551.
